I recently had the most peaceful and relaxing stay at a charming hideaway in the countryside. The location was absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views of the surrounding area. The property itself, known as the Chicken Shed At Knowle Top, was beautifully designed and had all the features I could ask for. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the incredible decor and attention to detail. The hosts, Duncan and Irene, were incredibly helpful and made sure I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was extremely comfy, and the blackout blinds ensured a restful night's sleep. I loved being able to soak in a luxurious bath in the room, adding a touch of romance to my anniversary celebration. The peacefulness and quietness of the surroundings truly allowed me to unwind and enjoy the stunning views, including captivating sunrises and sunsets over Pendle Hill. Wildlife sightings were an unexpected bonus, with wild hares and deer making appearances. The property was spotlessly clean and had all the necessary amenities, including tea, coffee, sugar, and even blankets to enjoy the view into the night. Although I missed having a mirror in the bedroom or lounge, and the patio furniture could have been more comfortable and luxurious, these were minor drawbacks in comparison to the overall experience. The access road to the Chicken Shed was a bit challenging, with potholes that required caution, but it didn't detract from the enchanting atmosphere. All in all, I absolutely loved my stay at the Chicken Shed At Knowle Top and would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a peaceful and scenic getaway.

The views from the accommodation were absolutely breathtaking! Being high up on the hillside provided an idyllic and peaceful setting, perfect for getting away from the busy city life. The cleanliness of the place was outstanding, and the recent conversion of the rooms was beautifully done. I especially loved the bath in the bedroom and the view of the cows from the bathroom. The owners were also very friendly and polite, providing excellent service throughout our stay.
It could potentially be tricky to reach the hotel in winter with bad weather due to its high location on the hillside.

It was so peaceful and quiet, perfect for escaping the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The facilities were top-notch, and we especially loved the pellet burner, which added a cozy touch to the atmosphere. Another great advantage was the well-equipped kitchen, with everything we needed for our stay.
While there were many positive aspects to our stay, there were a couple of minor downsides. the access road to the hotel was a typical farm track and required caution, as it had some large potholes that could potentially cause damage to a car.
